The Commission adopted final guidelines on Article 50 on 20 July 2026 and updated the related questions and answers on 24 July.
Legal effect
The transparency obligations have applied since 2 August 2026. Only Article 50(2) has a limited transition until 2 December 2026 for systems placed on the market before that date.
